Honda Siel India Ltd, a joint venture of Honda and Siel India Ltd has launched it’s first hatchback car in India on 10th June, today.The company is likely to set price between Rs 6.98 to 7.33 lakh(Ex showroom-Delhi),
obviously most expensive car in it’s type on Indian roads.The car is going to compete with car in hatchback range like Skoda Fabia and Hyundai i20 which has relatively lower price than Jazz with good features.
The car has been already hit in Japan and ranked number one best selling car in the country last year.The Jazz will be produced from it’s Greater Noida plant and the work has been already started from 28th of May in it’s Greater Noida plant in Uttar Pradesh.
Jazz with 1.2 liter i-VTEC petrol engine having 90 PS power with compare to 1.5 liter having 120 PS power has a unique variable valve timing system which regulates opening and closing of air-fuel intake and exhaust valve to match the engine speed and so performance.
Honda launched the Jazz in only one model i.e. Jazz S and might launch more featured Jazz V in coming future.Company is also planning to launch Jazz with City’s 1.5 liter engine in future but Honda has no plan to launch Jazz diesel version.Honda claims the mileage of the car 16.1 kmpl and the engine will be compatible with up to 10% of ethanol with petrol mixture.
