M&M (Mahindra & Mahindra)which has a majority market in three wheeler is going to introduce a new car in it’s four wheeler platform which has Scorpio, Xylo and Bolero.The new car would be priced cheaper than Tata’s dream car nano and expected to compete this.
This new M&M four wheeler would have a rear diesel engine of 400-cc with a speed of 40-50 km with mileage around 25 kpl whereas Tata nano with it’s two cylinders having a 623-cc displacement with power of 33ps with mileage @23.5kpl having top speed 105 km seems better than M&M new release in many directions. Mahindra and Mahindra had already started the work on this project in jan 2008 and the company sources are saying to launch within few months.
Nano would be with price of 1.19 lakhs (base model) on-road in India and the price of this new car of M&M is still not declared.The full description will be disclosed later. Its seems that future of cheaper car is quiet bright in India because giants like Bajaj and General Motors already announced a cheap level cars.
