Seven-time Wimbledon champion, the American Legend Pete Sampras who played his last Wimbledon in 2002, returned to SW19 on Sunday to watch close friend and current #2, Roger Federer’s attempt to break his record of 14 Grand Slam titles.

He arrived after the first game of the match, two seats in the front row of the Royal Box were reserved for the multiple-time Wimbledon champion Pete Sampras and wife Bridgette Wilson. The crowd was overwhelmed with the ex-champion’s benign presence.
“It’s nice when any legend comes to see us play. I hope we’ll play a good match and live up to the expectations,” Federer told the BBC before he went out on to Centre Court.
